# Your first Smash the City session

Choose a weapon, destroy blocks for Coins, watch the bonus thresholds and save toward one unlock at a time.

Edited 2026-10-11. Independent fan guide.

## Give your first run one clear goal

Begin by checking the creator on the [official game page](https://www.roblox.com/games/129425166667725/Smash-the-City). Once you are in Kabooom Crew’s experience, choose an available weapon and aim at a part of the skyline. The game’s basic loop is destruction, Coins and new unlocks.

For a first session, our recommendation is to learn how one weapon affects one nearby building before switching equipment. Watch the blocks fall and check your Coin balance. Repeat on another target so that you can separate the effect of your aim from the effect of the weapon.

1. Read the [creator-listed code](https://smashthecity.online/codes/) and check the game’s redemption response.

2. Try one available weapon on a visible target.

3. Watch your Coin total and destruction progress while you repeat the action.

4. Work toward the next listed bonus threshold.

5. Compare your balance with one unlock’s displayed price.

## Understand the four bonus targets

The developer lists destruction bonuses at **25%, 50%, 75% and 95%**. Treat those percentages as useful checkpoints when watching a run. At 25% you have reached a quarter of the city’s destruction meter; 50% is half; 75% is three quarters; 95% is near a complete clear.

For practice, compare what you can do before the next threshold. If progress slows, look at the remaining targets and the effect of each attack rather than assuming another weapon will solve the problem. Use the [milestone table](https://smashthecity.online/coins/#destruction-bonuses) to find the next target without inventing a payout.

## Change one slider at a time

The creator describes adjustable blast size, missile count and storm duration. Use those controls as a comparison task: note the starting setting, adjust one value and aim at comparable targets. Keep other choices steady so you can see what actually changed.

Our suggested test is three short runs with the same weapon and map. Write down how long each run takes and how many net Coins you gain. Include time spent aiming and waiting in the measurement; an impressive effect is not the same as a higher earning rate.

If a change makes it harder to see your target or track the remaining structures, try another setting and compare again. On a phone, readable controls and a clear view are useful criteria alongside destruction progress.

## Pick one unlock before spending

Coins can move you toward bigger weapons and new maps. Decide which goal matters to your next session: experimenting with a new effect, practicing a familiar city or exploring another environment. Write down the displayed cost before spending.

Keep the code reward and the current balance separate until the game shows the claim result. Then calculate the gap to your target. For a worked saving estimate and a tool using your own numbers, go to the [unlock planner](https://smashthecity.online/coins/#unlock-planner).

If you are comparing equipment, keep the map and time window consistent. The [weapons guide](https://smashthecity.online/weapons/) explains what to record instead of giving an unsupported purchase order.

## Practice with friends and keep runs comparable

The official description includes shared city destruction with friends. If you play together, agree on one goal, such as reaching the next destruction threshold or trying a different effect. For measuring your own equipment, compare sessions with similar player activity.

A busy shared session can change your test conditions. Label a measurement as a group run or a solo practice run in your notes. Include the device and settings so you can distinguish a weapon choice from a change in performance.

If the experience does not load, first check whether Roblox is working on your device and whether you opened the correct game page. Keep a record of the exact error rather than attributing it to a weapon or map without evidence.
